Join us this Sunday at 9.30am for Communion & Worship!

Hi Everyone,

We’re really looking forward to worshipping with you again this Sunday, 5 July. Since it’s the start of a new month we’ll also be celebrating Communion, so make sure you have your bread and juice/wine ready!

Matt, Narelle, Gabby, Asher and Issy are on a well-deserved break this week, so we look forward to hearing a sermon from Dr John Frederick, Lecturer in New Testament at Trinity College Queensland. We are also very excited to welcome our new Presbytery Minister, Rev Glen Schweitzer, to the service on Sunday. Glen will be joining us in the church building to preside over Communion and will also take this opportunity to let us know a little about himself.

Our theme for this month is “Home Sweet Home”. Since we’re all a bit stuck at home right now, maybe we don’t think it’s so sweet… but this could be a good chance to slow down a bit and listen to what God is saying to us. What opportunities is He making for us to connect with people in our very own households, neighbourhoods and city? We are all called to be part of God’s mission here on earth, we are all missionaries, whether that involves travelling to far-off places or simply shining the light of Christ to those around us here at home.

We’re inviting everyone to gather in small groups in homes on Sunday 26 July for the 9.30am live-stream service. While the maximum number of people that can gather in homes is 20 (subject to the 4m2 rule), you may find your home is more suited to having just a couple of people over, and that’s okay! Home churches can be any size!

Do you want to host a home church?
If you want to host a group in your home, please email us to let us know by 8th July. We’ll let you know the guidelines to be COVID-Safe in your home and send you a risk assessment to complete. We can help you complete the risk assessment if needed. We will also need to know who you’re inviting in order to keep proper records of attendance.

Trinity Unplugged:
What is the Spirit saying to the church

7 pm Thursday 23 July
Online on Facebook

Trinity Unplugged is coming up this month on Thursday 23 July as an online event!

Head to the Trinity College Queensland facebook page at 7 pm on the 23rd to hear three talks in response to the question: What is the Spirit saying to the church? The talks will have a very practical focus and are open to anyone and everyone. Afterwards, Dr Victoria Lorrimar (Lecturer in Systematic Theology) will host a Q&A session.

The speakers on the night will be Rev Mark Cornford, Simon Gomersall and Dr John Frederick. Check out the event page for more information about each topic.

Maybe you'd like to invite a small group around to your place to watch the talks online together?
